Death's Champions Partly Swayed to the Side of Life

Storm continues to concentrate. (She would think about the fact that Star Lord has really come through for them, but...concentrating.)

Then, she concentrates some more.

But when Star Lord loses his stone....she puts an immense amount of space around Quicksilver, so that no matter how quickly he runs, he can't get anywhere.

He runs VERY fast. So she puts him FURTHER away. He doesn't get any closer.

"Pietro"

Wanda still has the Will Stone, and she wills her brother to look at her. To see her fully. Perhaps Love and Will shall be enough to overcome Death--and Dark Phoenix.

Dark Phoenix. She remembers she was a hero once... Perhaps, with all the Will in the Universe, she could be again. She tries to gift her some of that will. Though not the stone itself.

Pietro does in fact slowly turn, seeing Wanda through the purple shine of the Heartstone.

He grins, quirking up one side of his mouth.

"Here. You need this more than me," he says, and pitches her the Heartstone underhand.

Now, Dark Phoenix, on the other hand ...

Wanda catches the Heartstone. Pietro lights up with purple fire. Wanda feels the world blur around her, as Pietro runs, takes her by the elbow, and moves her out of the way of Dark Phoenix' crashing tsunami of dark flames!

Large parts of the city of Hala are blasted, burning while becoming stiff and cold with death.

Wanda contributes some of the green stone's will, but unlike Pietro, Dark Phoenix is willingly helping Thanos bring death to the cosmos. Therefore, her added will allows her to summon more death-flames and do even more damage!

Wanda stops contributing willpower. That isn't helping.
